Welcome to Crete

Hello you! After a long break I decided to write something new. This year has been pretty inceredible for me. I've found an amazing job that allows me to travel a lot. In fact it's very inspiring how easy it is to turn job into a passion. I planned to see Greece this summer so following this thought I've been there for two times in October. Firstly on Crete and then on Rhodes. I'm not a lazy person when it comes to travel so I wanted to see as many things as possible. Most of the time on Crete I spent  in Heraklion because of our hotel and night life, but I also visted cities like Rethymno, Gouves or Agios Nikólaos. As an extra trip I sailed to Spinalonga, official greek name of the island is Kalydon. It was a place to quarantine people with leprosy at 20th century. Truth is people, including kids, didn't know if they ever return home once they arrived on island. First entrance to Spinalonga is a tunnel known as a Dante's Gate. Story of this place is dramatic, but worth knowing. Moving on to the next stop, Old Town in Rethymno. I felt the true Greece for the first time, but in fact most of the Old Town was built by Venetians. These little shops, narrow streets, Venetian harbour and fortezza, blue sea and white houses. That's a place worth visiting. When it comes to night life, there's no place like Heraklion. Everything starts at the evening. Clubs, good food, lots of people. You have to devote one night even if you don't like parties.

Bazarki, wąskie ulice, port i forteca, błękit morza skontrastowany z białymi domkami. Jeżeli chodzi o nocne uciechy to najlepszym wyborem na spędzenie wolnego czasu będzie Heraklion - kluby, dobre jedzenie, masa ludzi, warto wygospodarować chociaż jeden wieczór.
